   For a 2025 release, Ambre Samar deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Cardamom with a hint of Almond — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Almond peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I’ve been wearing Ambre Samar on and off for a few weeks now (2025). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Amber with Davana, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and Davana feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Ambre Samar (2025) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Cardamom alongside Almond, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Almond peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
