I have owned Cuir Béluga for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Immortelle and Patchouli feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Immortelle with Patchouli comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

For a 2005 release, Cuir Béluga deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Immortelle with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Tangerine/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

For a 2005 release, Cuir Béluga deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Tangerine with Aldehydes peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Tangerine with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

A decant of Cuir Béluga sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Tangerine and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Tangerine alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Picked up a sample of Cuir Béluga after reading the community buzz (2005). The base rests on Vanilla and Suede — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Immortelle and Patchouli feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Cuir Béluga. The base rests on Vanilla and Suede — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Tangerine with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

That first spray gives a lovely Tangerine/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A friend passed me a decant of Cuir Béluga (2005) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Immortelle with Patchouli comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Tangerine and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

Everyone keeps talking about Cuir Béluga, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Tangerine with Aldehydes peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Tangerine alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
