   Guerlain knows how to compose, and Idylle Eau de Parfum (2021) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Bulgarian Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Idylle Eau de Parfum (2021) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Bulgarian Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Idylle Eau de Parfum after reading the community buzz (2021). That first spray gives a lovely Lily-of-the-Valley/Freesia impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Bulgarian Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 2021 release, Idylle Eau de Parfum deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Lily-of-the-Valley with a hint of Freesia — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Idylle Eau de Parfum, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on White Musk and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, White Musk and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Bulgarian Rose feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.
