A couple of wears in, Insolence has really grown on me. The base rests on Iris and Tonka Bean β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Rose feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I picked up Insolence (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Iris and Tonka Bean come through and give it real depth. The opening is built around Raspberry and Red Berries β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I would happily buy a full bottle.

My first Guerlain experience was this one, Insolence (2006). The base rests on Iris and Tonka Bean β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Red Berries, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A friend passed me a decant of Insolence (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Raspberry and Red Berries β€” bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Red Berries impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

A couple of wears in, Insolence has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Iris plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Iris and Tonka Bean come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I have owned Insolence for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Red Berries β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Iris plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Picked up a sample of Insolence after reading the community buzz (2006). As it settles, Iris and Tonka Bean come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Red Berries, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Guerlain knows how to compose, and Insolence (2006) is proof. Give it a little time and Violet with Rose comes forward β€” smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I keep reaching for Insolence more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Iris plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Red Berries impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough β€” it carries well without shouting. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

For a 2006 release, Insolence deserves more attention than it gets. The opening is built around Raspberry and Red Berries β€” bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

A decant of Insolence sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Red Berries β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Red Berries peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want.
