   I’ve been wearing Les Absolus d’Orient Ambre Eternel on and off for a few weeks now (2016). The heart is the best part for me: Peach and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Ambergris and Coriander — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Guerlain knows how to compose, and Les Absolus d’Orient Ambre Eternel (2016) is proof. The first minutes are all about Ambergris with a hint of Coriander — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Ambergris alongside Coriander, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A decant of Les Absolus d’Orient Ambre Eternel sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Leather and Woodsy Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Ambergris with a hint of Coriander — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
