   I’ve been wearing L’Homme Idéal on and off for a few weeks now (2014). That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Bitter Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Leather and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   For a 2014 release, L’Homme Idéal deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Citruses with Bitter Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Almond with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Picked up a sample of L’Homme Idéal after reading the community buzz (2014). That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Bitter Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Almond and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The opening is built around Citruses and Bitter Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I have owned L’Homme Idéal for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The base rests on Leather and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Leather and Cedar come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Guerlain experience was this one, L’Homme Idéal (2014). Give it a little time and Almond with Tonka Bean comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Citruses and Bitter Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
