   I’ve been wearing L’Instant de Guerlain on and off for a few weeks now (2003). The base rests on White Honey and Vanille — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, White Honey and Vanille come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 2003 release, L’Instant de Guerlain deserves more attention than it gets. Right away I get mostly Mandarin Orange alongside Red Apple, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, White Honey and Vanille come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The heart is the best part for me: Magnolia and Iris feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The very first sniff is crisp Mandarin Orange with Red Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. The composition is well made but not for me.
