   I picked up Guess 1981 Indigo for Men (2018) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Fig with Blue Lavender peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Fig and Blue Lavender — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Everyone keeps talking about Guess 1981 Indigo for Men, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Cedar and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Cedar plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Guess 1981 Indigo for Men for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Coconut Nectar with Oakmoss comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Fig with Blue Lavender peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I picked up Guess 1981 Indigo for Men (2018) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Cedar and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Fig alongside Blue Lavender, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The base rests on Cedar and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I wanted to like it more than I did.
