   Picked up a sample of Halloween Man Shot after reading the community buzz (2016). Give it a little time and Iris with Sage comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Vanilla and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I picked up Halloween Man Shot (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Daiquiri peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Sage feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   My first Halloween experience was this one, Halloween Man Shot (2016). The opening is built around Cardamom and Daiquiri — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Daiquiri peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A decant of Halloween Man Shot sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Cardamom/Daiquiri impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Cardamom and Daiquiri — bright and immediately recognizable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Halloween knows how to compose, and Halloween Man Shot (2016) is proof. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Sage feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
