   My first Hermès experience was this one, Rouge Hermès (2000). As it settles, Spices and Myrtle come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Rose/Ylang-Ylang impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A decant of Rouge Hermès sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Sandalwood with Amber comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Sandalwood and Amber feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Rouge Hermès after reading the community buzz (2000). As it settles, Spices and Myrtle come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sandalwood with Amber, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
