   I picked up Quelques Fleurs l’Original (1912) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Lilac and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Honey and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I keep reaching for Quelques Fleurs l’Original more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Honey and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Quelques Fleurs l’Original. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. The composition is well made but not for me.

   Houbigant knows how to compose, and Quelques Fleurs l’Original (1912) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lilac with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A friend passed me a decant of Quelques Fleurs l’Original (1912) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Green Notes and Orange Blossom — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I’ve been wearing Quelques Fleurs l’Original on and off for a few weeks now (1912). The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   For a 1912 release, Quelques Fleurs l’Original deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Orange Blossom, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Orange Blossom — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Honey and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

    Houbigant knows how to compose, and Quelques Fleurs l’Original (1912) is proof. Give it a little time and Lilac with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lilac with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
