   Picked up a sample of Quelques Fleurs Royale after reading the community buzz (2004). The first minutes are all about Grapefruit with a hint of Sicilian Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Sicilian Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I picked up Quelques Fleurs Royale (2004) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Sicilian Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into White Mimosa Honey with Indian Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Houbigant experience was this one, Quelques Fleurs Royale (2004). The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Sicilian Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into White Mimosa Honey with Indian Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The opening is built around Grapefruit and Sicilian Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day.     I have owned Quelques Fleurs Royale for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Grapefruit and Sicilian Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: White Mimosa Honey and Indian Tuberose feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
