   A friend passed me a decant of Boss Bottled (1998) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Apple/Plum impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Cinnamon and Mahogany feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Hugo Boss knows how to compose, and Boss Bottled (1998) is proof. Right away I get mostly Apple alongside Plum, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cinnamon with Mahogany, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
