   A couple of wears in, Boss Bottled Elixir has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Labdanum plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Patchouli with Vetiver comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Boss Bottled Elixir. That first spray gives a lovely Frankincense/Cardamom impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Vetiver feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The first minutes are all about Frankincense with a hint of Cardamom — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Hugo Boss experience was this one, Boss Bottled Elixir (2023). The base rests on Labdanum and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Labdanum plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A friend passed me a decant of Boss Bottled Elixir (2023) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Frankincense/Cardamom impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Vetiver feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Boss Bottled Elixir on and off for a few weeks now (2023). The very first sniff is crisp Frankincense with Cardamom peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

Give it a little time and Patchouli with Vetiver comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The first minutes are all about Frankincense with a hint of Cardamom — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
