   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Boss Selection. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing Boss Selection on and off for a few weeks now (2006). The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A decant of Boss Selection sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Star Anise with Cedar Needles, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Star Anise with Cedar Needles comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Boss Selection after reading the community buzz (2006). That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Musk plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The heart is the best part for me: Star Anise and Cedar Needles feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Boss Selection, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. The composition is well made but not for me.
