   My first ID Parfums experience was this one, Ame Toscane (1996). The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuscan Iris with Magnolia, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Ame Toscane. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Ame Toscane on and off for a few weeks now (1996). As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Tuscan Iris with Magnolia comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Ame Toscane for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Peach with Osmanthus peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Tuscan Iris and Magnolia feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
