   A friend passed me a decant of Slow Explosions (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Saffron feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Saffron, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Slow Explosions, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Leather with Saffron comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Saffron feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
