   Initio knows how to compose, and Absolute Aphrodisiac (2015) is proof. Give it a little time and Amber with Gin comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and Gin feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 2015 release, Absolute Aphrodisiac deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Amber with Gin comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Amber with Gin, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A couple of wears in, Absolute Aphrodisiac has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Amber with Gin, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and Gin feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Absolute Aphrodisiac (2015) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and Gin feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Amber with Gin, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
