   I picked up Silver Scent (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Litchi and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Litchi and Tonka Bean come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Silver Scent sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Cardamom feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Lavender with Cardamom comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A friend passed me a decant of Silver Scent (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Litchi and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Jacques Bogart knows how to compose, and Silver Scent (2006) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Orange Blossom/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   My first Jacques Bogart experience was this one, Silver Scent (2006). The base rests on Litchi and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Litchi and Tonka Bean come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I keep reaching for Silver Scent more than I expected to. The opening is built around Orange Blossom and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lavender with Cardamom, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I have owned Silver Scent for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Cardamom feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Orange Blossom/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The very first sniff is crisp Orange Blossom with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
