   A friend passed me a decant of Iris de Nuit and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Angelica and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Virginia Cedar plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing Iris de Nuit on and off for a few weeks now. Right away I get mostly Angelica alongside Ambrette (Musk Mallow), fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Angelica and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I picked up Iris de Nuit mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Angelica with a hint of Ambrette (Musk Mallow) — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Angelica with Ambrette (Musk Mallow) peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned Iris de Nuit for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Angelica with Ambrette (Musk Mallow) peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Virginia Cedar plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
