   I have owned Classique Intense for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Tiare Flower/Pomegranate impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Tiare Flower with Pomegranate peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Classique Intense after reading the community buzz (2014). The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Tiare Flower alongside Pomegranate, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Jean Paul Gaultier knows how to compose, and Classique Intense (2014) is proof. The opening is built around Tiare Flower and Pomegranate — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Vanilla and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A friend passed me a decant of Classique Intense (2014) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Vanilla and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. The composition is well made but not for me.
