   A decant of Insulo sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Vanilla, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   For a 2015 release, Insulo deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Vanilla, very much my kind of start. As it settles, White Musk come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I picked up Insulo (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Vanilla impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Vanilla, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   My first Jeroboam experience was this one, Insulo (2015). The first minutes are all about Vanilla — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Insulo after reading the community buzz (2015). The first minutes are all about Vanilla — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Vanilla — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
