   I keep reaching for Jil Eau de Parfum more than I expected to. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Jil Eau de Parfum sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Lavender and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Lavender/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   For a 2009 release, Jil Eau de Parfum deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Heliotrope and Orris feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Lavender and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.
