   Jil Sander knows how to compose, and Style (2006) is proof. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Cardamom, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Style (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Cardamom peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Cardamom, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   For a 2006 release, Style deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Cardamom impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Iris with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Picked up a sample of Style after reading the community buzz (2006). The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Cardamom — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Cardamom — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
