   I’ve been wearing Lime Basil & Mandarin on and off for a few weeks now (1999). The heart is the best part for me: Basil and Thyme feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Lime with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Jo Malone London knows how to compose, and Lime Basil & Mandarin (1999) is proof. As it settles, Vetiver and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Lime Basil & Mandarin after reading the community buzz (1999). As it settles, Vetiver and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Lime alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I picked up Lime Basil & Mandarin (1999) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Basil with Thyme, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The opening is built around Lime and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Lime Basil & Mandarin for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The base rests on Vetiver and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Basil with Thyme, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I would happily buy a full bottle.

    My first Jo Malone London experience was this one, Lime Basil & Mandarin (1999). That first spray gives a lovely Lime/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Lime alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
