   A decant of Joop! Go sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Violet with Cypress comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Balsam Fir and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I’ve been wearing Joop! Go on and off for a few weeks now (2006). The first minutes are all about Rhubarb with a hint of Bitter Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Cypress feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   For a 2006 release, Joop! Go deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Rhubarb/Bitter Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Rhubarb with Bitter Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Joop! Go (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Rhubarb with a hint of Bitter Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Rhubarb with Bitter Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. The composition is well made but not for me.

As it settles, Balsam Fir and Musk come through and give it real depth. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Violet with Cypress comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The base rests on Balsam Fir and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
