   My first Kajal experience was this one, Lamar (2020). Right away I get mostly Pineapple alongside Red Berries, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Pineapple and Red Berries — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   My first Kajal experience was this one, Lamar (2020). The base rests on Musk and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bulgarian Rose with Turkish Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A friend passed me a decant of Lamar (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Pineapple and Red Berries — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   For a 2020 release, Lamar deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Pineapple with Red Berries peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Pineapple with a hint of Red Berries — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.

The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Turkish Rose feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

That first spray gives a lovely Pineapple/Red Berries impression that dries down smoothly. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
