   Picked up a sample of Kenzo after reading the community buzz (1988). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuberose with Sandalwood, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Oakmoss and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Kenzo experience was this one, Kenzo (1988). The very first sniff is crisp Peach with Spices peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Spices — it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

As it settles, Oakmoss and Amber come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.
