   A friend passed me a decant of Kenzo World (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Floral Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Peony with Floral Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Kenzo World (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Peony and Floral Notes feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Ambroxan and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Kenzo World has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Red fruits, fresh and very easy to wear. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Kenzo World (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Red fruits — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Ambroxan — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Kenzo knows how to compose, and Kenzo World (2016) is proof. The opening is built around Red fruits — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Red fruits, very much my kind of start. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Kenzo experience was this one, Kenzo World (2016). That first spray gives a lovely Red fruits impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Ambroxan come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
