   A decant of Le Monde est Beau sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Basil with a hint of Black Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Basil with Black Currant peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Everyone keeps talking about Le Monde est Beau, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Basil/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Basil alongside Black Currant, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Kenzo experience was this one, Le Monde est Beau (1997). The first minutes are all about Basil with a hint of Black Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Blackberry and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Le Monde est Beau has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Honeysuckle with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Basil/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A decant of Le Monde est Beau sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Blackberry plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Basil/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Le Monde est Beau. The base rests on Blackberry and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Blackberry and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I have owned Le Monde est Beau for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honeysuckle with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Basil/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
