   Everyone keeps talking about Summer by, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Musk and Lemon — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Citruses and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Summer by on and off for a few weeks now (2005). The heart is the best part for me: Mimosa and Almond Milk feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Citruses alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Kenzo knows how to compose, and Summer by (2005) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Citruses alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Give it a little time and Mimosa with Almond Milk comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Summer by (2005) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Musk plus Lemon and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Mimosa with Almond Milk, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
