   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Amethyst Eclat. Give it a little time and Peony with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Raspberry and Black Currant — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Amethyst Eclat sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Peony and Rose feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I keep reaching for Amethyst Eclat more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Black Currant, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Blackberry and Musk come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I’ve been wearing Amethyst Eclat on and off for a few weeks now (2014). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

Give it a little time and Peony with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
