   My first Lalique experience was this one, Lalique White (2008). The first minutes are all about Lemon Leaf with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: White Pepper and Nutmeg feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Lalique White, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon Leaf with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Lemon Leaf alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The base rests on Cedar and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Lalique White has really grown on me. The opening is built around Lemon Leaf and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon Leaf with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Give it a little time and White Pepper with Nutmeg comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
