   I keep reaching for Satine more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Tonka Bean and Vanila feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A couple of wears in, Satine has really grown on me. The opening is built around Heliotrope and Gardenia — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Heliotrope/Gardenia impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Satine. The very first sniff is crisp Heliotrope with Gardenia peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Heliotrope with a hint of Gardenia — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I wanted to like it more than I did.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tonka Bean with Vanila, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
