Lancôme knows how to compose, and Attraction (2003) is proof. The drydown leans on Musk plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A couple of wears in, Attraction has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Musk and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

I’ve been wearing Attraction on and off for a few weeks now (2003). As it settles, Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Gardenia with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I picked up Attraction (2003) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Gardenia alongside Ylang-Ylang, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Gardenia and Ylang-Ylang — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

I have owned Attraction for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I have owned Attraction for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Gardenia with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Gardenia with a hint of Ylang-Ylang — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I have owned Attraction for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Gardenia with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

My first Lancôme experience was this one, Attraction (2003). The first minutes are all about Gardenia with a hint of Ylang-Ylang — it grabs attention without being pushy. As it settles, Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

My first Lancôme experience was this one, Attraction (2003). That first spray gives a lovely Gardenia/Ylang-Ylang impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Gardenia with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

A friend passed me a decant of Attraction (2003) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Musk plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Iris with Tuberose comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
