   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Idôle L’Intense. The very first sniff is crisp Bitter Orange with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Patchouli and Cashmere Wood come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A couple of wears in, Idôle L’Intense has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Cashmere Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Turkish Rose with Grasse rose comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Idôle L’Intense (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Turkish Rose with Grasse rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Bitter Orange with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Idôle L’Intense on and off for a few weeks now (2020). That first spray gives a lovely Bitter Orange/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Bitter Orange alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I’ve been wearing Idôle L’Intense on and off for a few weeks now (2020). That first spray gives a lovely Bitter Orange/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Turkish Rose with Grasse rose comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

The base rests on Patchouli and Cashmere Wood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
