   I’ve been wearing Arpège on and off for a few weeks now (1927). That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Lily-of-the-Valley impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Lily-of-the-Valley, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Give it a little time and Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Arpège for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Picked up a sample of Arpège after reading the community buzz (1927). As it settles, Sandalwood and Amber come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I keep reaching for Arpège more than I expected to. The base rests on Sandalwood and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Lily-of-the-Valley peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
