   Picked up a sample of Rumeur after reading the community buzz (2006). The drydown leans on Musk plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Musk and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A couple of wears in, Rumeur has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Magnolia impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Magnolia, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
