   I picked up His Confession (2024) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Lavender with Cinnamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Benzoin, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing His Confession on and off for a few weeks now (2024). The first minutes are all about Lavender with a hint of Cinnamon — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Benzoin, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

As it settles, Vanilla and Tonka come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A friend passed me a decant of His Confession (2024) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Lavender with Cinnamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Tonka and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
