   A friend passed me a decant of Ambrette 9 (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) with Fruity Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ambrette (Musk Mallow) with Fruity Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
