   Everyone keeps talking about Aire Loco, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Bergamot and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Passionfruit and African Orange Flower feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of Aire Loco (2009) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Passionfruit with African Orange Flower comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I’ve been wearing Aire Loco on and off for a few weeks now (2009). That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Passionfruit with African Orange Flower, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A decant of Aire Loco sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Cardamom plus Virginia Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Bergamot and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Aire Loco. The opening is built around Bergamot and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Cardamom and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
