   A couple of wears in, Loewe 001 Man has really grown on me. The base rests on Violet and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Cardamom/Calabrian bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Loewe knows how to compose, and Loewe 001 Man (2016) is proof. The base rests on Violet and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Violet and White Musk come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Loewe experience was this one, Loewe 001 Man (2016). The drydown leans on Violet plus White Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Cardamom with a hint of Calabrian bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   For a 2016 release, Loewe 001 Man deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) with Sandalwood comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Violet and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
