   I keep reaching for Aoud Blue Notes more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Guaiac Wood plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Fruity Notes and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, Aoud Blue Notes has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Violet with Orris Root comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Orris Root, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

As it settles, Guaiac Wood and Leather come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Aoud Blue Notes on and off for a few weeks now (2015). Right away I get mostly Fruity Notes alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Orris Root feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

Right away I get mostly Fruity Notes alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
