   Everyone keeps talking about Aoud Café, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Coffee with Amber comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Black Currant with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Aoud Café. The very first sniff is crisp Black Currant with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coffee with Amber, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   For a 2013 release, Aoud Café deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Woody Notes and Sweet Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coffee with Amber, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I have owned Aoud Café for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Black Currant with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Coffee with Amber comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I keep reaching for Aoud Café more than I expected to. The opening is built around Black Currant and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The opening is built around Black Currant and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

That first spray gives a lovely Black Currant/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I would happily buy a full bottle.
