   I picked up Cedrat Boise (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Fruity Notes with Patchouli Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Cedar and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Cedrat Boise (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fruity Notes with Patchouli Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Sicilian Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Everyone keeps talking about Cedrat Boise, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Sicilian Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Sicilian Lemon with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
