   I’ve been wearing Wind Wood on and off for a few weeks now (2014). Give it a little time and Violet with Patchouli comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Wind Wood. As it settles, Cedar and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Cedar plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Wind Wood, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
