   I picked up Divine Decadence (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Honeysuckle and Hortensia feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Honeysuckle with Hortensia comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Picked up a sample of Divine Decadence after reading the community buzz (2016). The very first sniff is crisp Champagne with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Honeysuckle and Hortensia feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Divine Decadence (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Honeysuckle and Hortensia feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Saffron and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Divine Decadence sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Right away I get mostly Champagne alongside Orange Blossom, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honeysuckle with Hortensia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. The composition is well made but not for me.

As it settles, Vanilla and Saffron come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Marc Jacobs knows how to compose, and Divine Decadence (2016) is proof. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Saffron and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Champagne/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   My first Marc Jacobs experience was this one, Divine Decadence (2016). The opening is built around Champagne and Orange Blossom — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Honeysuckle and Hortensia feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
