   Picked up a sample of Velocity after reading the community buzz. The opening is built around Banana and Flowers — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Clementine with Rhododendron, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Velocity and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Banana and Flowers — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Banana/Flowers impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Mary Kay knows how to compose, and Velocity is proof. The first minutes are all about Banana with a hint of Flowers — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Woody Notes plus Blackberry and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   My first Mary Kay experience was this one, Velocity. As it settles, Woody Notes and Blackberry come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Banana/Flowers impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I have owned Velocity for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Woody Notes and Blackberry come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Banana alongside Flowers, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
