   A friend passed me a decant of L’Attesa (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Champagne and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Champagne/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up L’Attesa (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Leather plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Orris Root feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, L’Attesa has really grown on me. As it settles, Leather and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Champagne with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
