   I keep reaching for BCBG Max Azria more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Rose with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Strawberry with a hint of Cherry — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of BCBG Max Azria (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Picked up a sample of BCBG Max Azria after reading the community buzz (2011). The opening is built around Strawberry and Cherry — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about BCBG Max Azria. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Violet feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
